Escapade NZ offers Corporate and General Charters for Cruising, Sightseeing and Fishing.
Escapade NZ is a 15.19-metre Riviera launch surveyed for 20 passengers, sleeps 6 passengers plus 2 crew.
Escapade NZ has been the top Mercury Bay Game Fishing Club charter vessel for the last five consecutive years 2004-2009, targeting Snapper, Kingfish, Hapuka, Tuna and Marlin. Escapade NZ has caught more than 100 Marlin of which most have been tagged and released (angler’s choice), with the heaviest weighed being an incredible 302 kgs.

Escapade NZ is based in Whitianga Marina and fishes mostly between Great Barrier Island and Mayor Island, and in the Far North, from mid March and April, including Three Kings Islands. Leilani II was built in Tauranga in 1978, she is of a Pelin, Cape Brett Design, and constructed of triple skinned kauri, which is one of the strongest types of construction for this type of hull. Leilani II will cater to your needs on the water whether it be a scenic cruise, a diving or gamefishing charter, a corporate excursion or a team building exercise.

The crew on Leilani had a very sucessful season gamefishing in 2004-05, landing New Zealands largest Stripped Marlin which could possibly be a world record if nothing larger is caught prior to the season ending. They also caught the New Zealand record Hapuka.

Scuba Diving at Cathedral Cove, New Zealand, at its Best!

Take the PLUNGE for the first time and experience the wonderful underwater world in the Cathedral Cove Marine Reserve. This is the PERFECT experience for those who have never scuba-dived before. Get up close and personal with the massive crayfish, huge snapper and friendly fish. Just allow 3 hours for the learning and the scuba dive! Situated at the base of Cathedral Cove and only 5 minutes from Hot Water Beach, Hahei is the perfect spot for all divers and snorkellers. With the Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve and the awesome pinnacles and volcanic coastline only 5-10 minutes by boat, certified divers can book on our specialised dive boat, either the 9.30am trip, back by midday, or the 1.30pm trip, back by 4pm.
